The Baobab community hall needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Kamau's neighborhood project
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the Baobab community hall that will serve 100 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 100 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $330
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
• Permits and inspections: $35
With deep gratitude,
Kamau

So sorry you're going through this. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best

Best of luck, Kamau. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
I hope things turn around soon. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care
