Verification badges
Badges show donors and helpers that a real person stands behind a post. They are optional, free, and they work in every country.
The badges
| Badge | What a reviewer confirmed |
|---|---|
| Email verified | The person controls the email address on the account. Required to post or comment. |
| Photo verified | A selfie holding a note with "HelpBLESS" and the date matches a live person. |
| Government ID verified | A passport, driver licence or national ID card is genuine, readable and matches the account name. The badge shows the document type. |
| Address verified | A recent utility bill or bank statement matches the person's name and area. |
| Verified organization | A registration certificate for a charity, school, NGO or small business is genuine. |
| Background check on file | An optional, recent report from a background-check provider you chose. We confirm it is genuine and matches the name. |
A badge means a reviewer checked a document at that time. It is not a guarantee about someone\'s story or character. Always read the post and ask questions.

Accepted documents
Documents from any country are welcome.
- ID: passport, driver licence, or national ID card. Government-issued, in date.
- Address: utility bill, bank statement or official letter from the last 90 days.
- Organization: registration or incorporation certificate, or equivalent letter from an authority.
- Background check: a report from any recognized provider in your country, issued in the last 12 months.
- Documents in other languages are fine. Reviewers use translation tools.
- You may cover your document number if it is not needed. Name, photo and expiry date must stay visible.
How your documents are protected
- Documents are stored privately, outside any public folder, and are never shown on the site.
- Only authorized reviewers can open them, and every view is written to an audit log.
- The public sees only the badge.
- We keep documents only as long as needed for review and legal records, then delete them. See the privacy policy.
When verification is required
- Never to browse, give, comment or post a non-money need.
- To offer a room or rides: a verified photo, ID or background check.
- For larger payouts: government ID once your payouts pass the verification level shown in your dashboard.
- For a shorter safety window: ID verified recipients are paid sooner.
Questions
Is verification free?
Yes.
Why do you need a selfie with a note?
It shows that a live person is behind the account, not a stolen photo.
What if my document is rejected?
You will see why. Fix it and submit again. Common reasons are blur, glare, an expired document or a name mismatch.
Can I remove my verification?
Yes. Email support@helpbless.com and we will remove the badge and delete the document.
