About HelpBLESS

Why we built it

Most of us have been stuck at some point: a bill we couldn't cover, a move we couldn't manage alone, a question nobody around us could answer. And most of us have also had a spare hour, a skill, a van or a few dollars and no idea who needed it.

HelpBLESS puts those two groups in touch, wherever they live. Someone in Lagos can ask for help with school fees and someone in Toronto can answer. A nurse in Manchester can mentor a student in Nairobi. A neighbor can fix a roof and a stranger can pay for the tiles.

Help isn't only money

On HelpBLESS you can ask for, and offer, money, help with a specific bill, labor, volunteer time, professional services, mentoring, consultations, goods, transport and housing. You can aim at the whole world or at one country, state, city or ZIP code.

What we believe

• Asking is hard. People who ask for help deserve respect, not suspicion.
• Trust has to be earned. Every post is read by a person before it goes live, and members can add photo, ID, address or organization badges.
• Questions come first. Anyone with a confirmed email can ask before they give. People who post are expected to answer.
• Fees should be simple. We keep a clear percentage of donations and a flat fee for extra posts. Both are shown before you commit. See the numbers.
• Posts don't expire. Needs don't have deadlines on a calendar, so we don't put one on your post.

How we keep it honest

• Email confirmation before anyone can post, comment or offer help.
• Human review and automatic risk checks on every post.
• Private ID checks. Reviewers see documents, the public sees a badge.
• A safety hold before payouts, and no money moves outside the site.
• Reports from the community, with automatic pause when a post gets many.

Who is behind it

HelpBLESS is a small independent team that reads support email ourselves. We run on the platform fee and nothing else. We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
