Legal fees for Shweta's work-permit appeal in Mumbai
Help Shweta cover the fees of a work-permit appeal so She can stay with her family.

Shweta is facing a work-permit appeal. The hearing is scheduled for October, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $300. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Shweta has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at the Mumbai Community Legal Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Shweta could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $300 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $175
• Filing and biometrics fees: $55
• Certified translations and document copies: $30
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $40
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending strength, Pooja. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Mumbai.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Shweta?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about attorney retainer, advice is welcome too. Thanks, that means a lot.
