Help me through 4 rounds of treatment for prostate cancer
4 rounds of treatment are planned at Kingston Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In May I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My oncology team at Kingston Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 6 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 43, I worked as a hairdresser until May, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Kingston Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $640
• Scans and lab work: $390
• Transport to Kingston Cancer Centre: $165
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $255
