Feed 380 families each week at Neighbors' Pantry in Mississauga
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Mississauga is running low just as demand rises; $2,300 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 380 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mississauga market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $140
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $710
