I coordinate donations at Acacia Women's Shelter in Toronto. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Toronto, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Acacia Women's Shelter on Friday between 10am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Acacia Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending strength, Faith. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Keep going. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Wish I lived closer to Parramatta so I could bring a meal.
sending strength. Hope this works out for you. After 18 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
thanks for sharing this. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family, Faith. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Girona.
Stay strong, Faith. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 9 people at work.
