Yasemin can't leave home - help build a ramp

Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Munich.

Yasemin has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Yasemin can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Yasemin's family will cook lunch for the team. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Rooting for you, Yağmur. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it!

    • Hope it all works out, Yağmur. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Sent it to 35 people at work. Blessings!

      • Hang in there. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Munich.

thinking of you and your family, Yağmur. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Fresno so I could bring a meal.
