I make my living with my motorbike. 3 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $250 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $160
• Labor charges: $35
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• Towing and inspection: $35
Glad we found this place.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dinusha.
It's all in the list in the story. engine head gasket replacement (parts) is the big one at $160, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for asking.
So sorry you're going through this. Small businesses are the heart of Negombo. Hope you're open again soon.
