I coordinate donations at the Pioneer Family Centre in San Diego. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in San Diego, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Pioneer Family Centre on Thursday between 10am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Pioneer Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Best of luck, Autumn. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon.

    • Praying for you. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.

Hope this works out for you. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of San Diego

          • Thinking of you, Autumn. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
