Maple is my German shepherd of eleven years. On 21 August we rushed to Bronx Veterinary Centre with bloat. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $2,150. They have stabilized Maple, but the treatment can't wait beyond November. Maple is more than a pet - Maple is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $130 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Bronx Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
