A ramp for Rodrigo: volunteers and tools needed
Help Rodrigo regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Texas, United States694 views
Rodrigo has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Rodrigo can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Rodrigo's family will cook lunch for the team.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
