Alamin was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March. The oncology team at Mumbai Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Alamin is 37, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mumbai Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $960
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70
• Scans and lab work: $170
• Transport to Mumbai Regional Medical Center: $100

Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $960. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
