Omar is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at the Paris Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,050.
The registrar has said Omar can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Omar has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Omar would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Omar isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
