Nnamdi was diagnosed with colon cancer in May. The oncology team at Awka Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Nnamdi is 37, worked as a bakery worker until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Awka Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,450 goes: • Scans and lab work: $185 • Household costs while unable to work: $230 • Transport to Awka Regional Medical Center: $115 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $920 Glad we found this place.
