Legal fees for Anika's work-permit appeal in Warangal
Anika needs $400 for filing fees and representation in a work-permit appeal before the March deadline.

I'm facing a work-permit appeal. My hearing is scheduled for March, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $400. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $400 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $290
• Filing and biometrics fees: $60
• Certified translations and document copies: $15
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $35
Thanks for reading all this.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Negombo
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Joliet so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
How is Anika doing now?
Hope you get there. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Olinda.
Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Nakhon Ratchasima so I could bring a meal. Love from Ahmedabad.
Sending good thoughts, Anika. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care.
