The Hosseini family fled Somalia - help them rebuild in San Diego
After fleeing Somalia, the Hosseini family has arrived in San Diego with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

My family left Somalia 10 months ago after the war reached our town. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in San Diego. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in March.
I was an engineer in Somalia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $195
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,200
• Language classes and bus passes: $605
I hope life is good to you.
