A community garden for Jacaranda Primary School: help our neighbors in Tema

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $300 for materials.

Tema
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 576 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $300 goes: • Materials: $180 • Permits and inspections: $65 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $10 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Araba

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 27% funded and the first invoice got paid this week.

  2. Update from Tema: I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. We're at 15% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
