Storm in Mendoza: help the Marketplace neighborhood rebuild
The storm damaged 80 homes in the Marketplace neighborhood. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The storm hit the Marketplace neighborhood on 17 August. My home was one of 80 damaged, and 3 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $410
• Tools and labor for repairs: $250
• Roofing sheets and timber: $850
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $240
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

More neighborhoods should do this. Put this on a community board in Quezon City this morning. Blessings.
