Raúl was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in June. The surgeon at Buenos Aires Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,900, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,950 short.
my husband has been in and out of Buenos Aires Regional Medical Center since June. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Raúl struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Raúl won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
