Sapna was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in June. The surgeon at Nagpur University Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $880, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $700 short. my daughter has been in and out of Nagpur University Hospital since June. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $880 is more than we can find. While we wait, Sapna struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Sapna won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
