A ramp for Titilayo: volunteers and tools needed
Titilayo uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇳🇬 Enugu, Nigeria1,038 views
Titilayo has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Titilayo can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Titilayo's family will cook lunch for the team.

Stay strong, Ifeoma. Looking forward to the next update.
thinking of you and your family. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Sending good thoughts, Ifeoma. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Nsukka.
so sorry you're going through this, Ifeoma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I hope August is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Lahore
