I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Chennai Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,400. My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,400 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $1,300 • Fitting and training sessions: $50 • Delivery and set-up: $25 • First-year servicing plan: $25 Thank you so much.
