Stop the eviction: 2 months of rent for Manoel's family in Juiz de Fora
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Manoel needs $1,500 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Juiz de Fora.

After a sudden layoff at the restaurant, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Monday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,500.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I've 3 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $1,100
• Late fees and court costs: $75
• Utilities in arrears: $30
• First month of rent as a buffer: $295
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

So sorry you're going through this, Manoel. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Manoel. Shared it with a few friends. All the best.
Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Mandaue so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Juiz de Fora.
Praying for you, Manoel. Hope you get there. Sent it to 28 people at work. Blessings.
it takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Birmingham.
