Kinondoni
For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Kinondoni. In June, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $350 goes: • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $185 • Initial stock: supplies: $60 • Shop repairs and licensing: $40 • Working capital for the first month: $65 Thank you so much. - Hamisi

  1. Small update. $126 so far, we've started the first stage. - Hamisi

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 16% funded and I made the first payment toward initial stock: supplies.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 14% now ($50). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for shop repairs and licensing is now scheduled.
