Manoel's final semester of a law degree in Pelotas

Manoel is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at Pelotas University, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,450. The registrar has said Manoel can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Manoel has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Manoel would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Manoel isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,450 goes: • Final term tuition: $840 • Textbooks and materials: $35 • Outstanding tuition balance: $575 Thanks for being kind about this. - Samuel
