Larissa needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade - help us make it happen
Larissa needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system will not fund; the cost is $1,400.

I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at Pelotas General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,400.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,200
• Fitting and training sessions: $65
• Delivery and set-up: $40
• First-year servicing plan: $95
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Any update on how things are going in Pelotas?
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Pelotas.
Sending love, Larissa. Hope the doctors have good news. We're a small family in Kochi but we're thinking of you.
Thinking of you. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Take care.
Hope it all works out, Larissa. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Los Angeles.
Stay strong. This could happen to any of us. Blessings.
