Madrid wildfire relief - the Sunrise neighborhood
Neighbors in the Sunrise neighborhood are rebuilding after the wildfire; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The wildfire hit the Sunrise neighborhood on 4 October. My home was one of 12 damaged, and 11 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $450
• Clean water and purification supplies: $560
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,550
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $390
If you're reading this, thank you.

Hope it all works out. Great idea, hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Newport so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
