Lotus Primary School needs a community garden - Evelyn's neighborhood project
A community-led a community garden at Lotus Primary School that will serve 475 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,400.
It will serve about 475 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Materials: $2,500
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $380
• Tools hire and delivery: $250
