Torsten lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Gothenburg General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,000. His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Torsten could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $4,000 goes: • powered wheelchair: $3,450 • Fitting and training sessions: $130 • Delivery and set-up: $165 • First-year servicing plan: $255 Every share and every dollar helps.
