Legal fees for Levi's citizenship application in San Diego
Levi needs $800 for filing fees and representation in a citizenship application before the May deadline.
🇺🇸 United States1,153 views
Levi is facing a citizenship application. The hearing is scheduled for May, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $800. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Levi has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at the San Diego Community Legal Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Levi could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $800 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $360
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $230
• Certified translations and document copies: $210
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
