Every year the Neighborhood Winter Coat Drive brings together 445 neighbors in Austin. I help organize it with 4 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Glad we found this place.

  • Best of luck, Waylon. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. After 15 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything
