The heating account is 4 months behind. Dhanalakshmi received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Dhanalakshmi called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through summer without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Dhanalakshmi is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Dhanalakshmi's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dhanalakshmi!
Sure. The biggest one is gas arrears, $55. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
