A playground for the Freedom health centre yard: help our neighbors in Accra

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $150. It will serve about 295 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $150 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $90 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Permits and inspections: $40 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Eunice
