Juan needs a freezer and scales to reopen a fish stall
A fish stall in Lapu-Lapu needs help replacing a freezer and scales after a fire in the building.
🇵🇭 Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, Philippines1,084 views
For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Lapu-Lapu. In August, a fire in the building took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $850 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $510
• Initial stock: the first catch: $140
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
• Working capital for the first month: $140
Thank you for reading my story.

Keep going, Juan. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Makassar so I could bring a meal.
Best of luck. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
