Help Valentina restart a roadside café in Lexington after a break-in
Valentina lost an espresso machine and grinder to a break-in and needs $3,050 to reopen a roadside café and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a roadside café in Lexington. In October, a break-in took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $1,450
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $290
• Shop repairs and licensing: $480
• Working capital for the first month: $830
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

We're at 21% thanks to 5 of you. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.
Thank you all. We're at 3% now ($105). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward replacing an espresso machine and grinder.
