Cristina can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Cristina regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇪🇸 Galicia, Spain331 views
Cristina has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Cristina can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Cristina's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Keep going, Alejandra. Shared this with my family. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Lalitpur
Best of luck, Alejandra. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. All the best.
Wishing you peace. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Campinas.
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Calgary donated after I showed her your page. Take care!
