Help Wafula through 12 rounds of treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma
Supporting Wafula through non-Hodgkin lymphoma: medication, transport to the Kasarani Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇰🇪 Kenya1,510 views
Wafula was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in September. The oncology team at the Kasarani Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Wafula is 56, worked as a bus conductor until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Kasarani Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,300
• Scans and lab work: $115
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

So sorry you're going through this. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Cartagena but we're thinking of you
Stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Wishing you peace, Samuel. Get well soon.
Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 16 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
