Jyoti was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July. The oncology team at Nashik University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Jyoti is 55, worked as a bakery worker until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nashik University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $990 • Household costs while unable to work: $170 • Transport to Nashik University Hospital: $75 • Scans and lab work: $265 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
