I make my living with my taxi. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,400 goes: โ€ข transmission replacement (parts): $930 โ€ข Road tax and insurance renewal: $190 โ€ข Labor charges: $280 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sure. The biggest one is transmission replacement (parts), $930. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.

            • rooting for you. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Shinjuku but we're thinking of you.
