Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Sunday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 386 each week. Donations have dropped by about 35% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Makassar market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $400 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $220 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $110 • Baby formula and diapers: $50 • Refrigeration and electricity: $20 Thanks for being kind about this. - Indah

Updates from Indah

  1. Quick update: $70 raised so far (18%). the plan for refrigeration and electricity is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 15% funded and the plan for fresh vegetables and fruit is now scheduled.
