The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. Caroline received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless $500 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Caroline called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $120 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Caroline is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
