After a long illness in February, I'm now raising twin daughters on my own. I work as a care worker, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a teaching assistant in the evenings, which will triple my income by May, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rent top-up: $175
• Childcare and after-school care: $155
• Groceries and school meals: $130

Thank you all. We're at 34% now ($205). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the landlord and confirmed the amounts.
Quick update: $148 raised so far (25%). the first invoice got paid this week. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
We're at 6% thanks to 2 of you. I made the first payment toward course fees and exam costs. More news soon.
