I make my living with my ride-share car. 10 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $650. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $650 goes: • clutch assembly replacement (parts): $400 • Towing and inspection: $80 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $170 Thank you for reading my story.

  • Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Junko

    • Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. clutch assembly replacement (parts) comes first ($400) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for asking.

reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 14 people at work. Love from Jakarta Selatan.

    • Thinking of you, Junko. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.

      • praying for you, Junko. I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Cambridge this morning. Take care.

        • Rooting for you. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.

          • Wishing you peace. Your post was clear and honest. Love from Aurora.
