Keep a roof over Gabriel's head in Paris
A long illness left Gabriel short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

After a sudden layoff at the textile factory, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,400
• Late fees and court costs: $160
• Utilities in arrears: $280
• First month of rent as a buffer: $760
Glad we found this place.

shared this with my family. I hope May is when things finally get easier. Blessings.
Sending love, Gabriel. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
