Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Emilia in Radom
Help Emilia get a prosthetic leg so She can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
🇵🇱 Radom, Masovia, Poland359 views
Emilia lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Radom Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,750.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Emilia could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $85
• prosthetic leg: $1,600
• Delivery and set-up: $65
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending love. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Good luck, Konrad. Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Nairobi but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from London
Wishing Emilia a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Blessings
Good luck, Konrad. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Rooting for you. Wishing Emilia a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Take care
Get well soon. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Radom.
Hope things get better soon, Konrad. Looking forward to the next update. After 25 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything
