Independence for Gabriel: specialist standing frame

A specialist standing frame would give Gabriel independence - we're $1,100 away.

Porto Alegre
Gabriel lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Porto Alegre General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100. His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Gabriel could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,100 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $65 • specialist standing frame: $990 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Updates from Fabiana

  1. Small update. $60 so far, the plan for specialist standing frame is now scheduled.
