Fighting kidney cancer: help Francisco afford treatment in Barcelona
Francisco is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In August I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. My oncology team at Barcelona Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 5 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 26, I worked as a tailor until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Barcelona Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $440
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,100
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $400
• Transport to Barcelona Cancer Centre: $560
