Help Lillian replace the radiator and cooling system and return to work
Without my pickup Lillian can't work; a $1,750 repair would put her back on the road.
🇺🇸 United States1,442 views
I make my living with my pickup. 10 weeks ago the radiator and cooling system failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,750. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $165
• Towing and inspection: $110
• radiator and cooling system replacement (parts): $1,475
Thank you so much.

Hope this works out for you. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care
Good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 19 people at work.
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Arlington!
Thank you. If you're in Arlington I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Thanks for sharing this. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Thanks for sharing this, Lillian. Looking forward to the next update.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Lillian
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. road tax and insurance renewal comes first ($165) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks, that means a lot.
Thinking of you, Lillian. This could happen to any of us. Love from Milan
