Help Paloma replace the transmission and return to work
Paloma drives for a living in Medellín, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 12 weeks.
🇨🇴 Colombia2,269 views
I make my living with my school-run minibus. 12 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $450 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $300
• Labor charges: $60
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $40
• Towing and inspection: $50
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Best of luck. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless
Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
You're not alone. Shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Thinking of you and your family, Paloma. Hope you get there. Blessings
